This year is the 10th anniversary of the Aurora Project. A band which started by jamming out together after playing the famous card-game “Magic The Gathering”, and which of today still writes their songs exactly like 10 years ago: by having hours of jam sessions.
The band’s debut album "Unspoken Words" was released worldwide in 2006. It is a concept album dealing with the statement “I feel, so I exist”. Beyond the band’s performance, the album featured a storyteller, several guest-performances and a choir. The album soon got raving reviews from press all around the world, hailing the band as a “promising new surprise”. However the band was compared to the likes of Pink Floyd, Rush, Riverside and Porcupine Tree, the press found it hard to position TAP’s music and recommended the band for its ‘unique sound’. After releasing the album, the band toured to promote the album. The band got invited twice (2005 & 2008) for the prestigious Progpower Festival (NL) and played Symforce (NL) and Deichbrand Festival (DE). They continued by doing a club tour in Holland and Belgium together with Riverside and Van Den Plas, and the band scored support-slots for Pain of Salvation, RPWL and Treshold. In 2007 a dream came true for the band when they played a sold-out Paradiso Amsterdam, for 1500 people.
In 2008 the band went into the studio to record their second album "Shadow Border". The record holds seven tracks, including the 17-minute epic title track. Joost van den Broek (Ayreon, After Forever) signed for the recording and mixing credits. The album was recorded in the Excess studio (Epica, Gorefest) and mastered by the legendary Bob Katz, who received several Grammy’s for his work in the past. The album was released worldwide on May 5th, 2009. After touring the album from the outside everything went quiet around the band.
Over the last two years the band worked on their new, third album entitled “Selling the Aggression”. It is a concept album, which describes the changing society from 1999 - from the introduction of Internet - to the formation of the current world order. The album was received with immediate critical acclaim. Many good reviews followed and sales were very good.
The album was released by FREIA Music on both CD and HQ vinyl LP. The release party at the Tripodia venue in their hometown Katwijk on February 8, 2013 was recorded on 32-track audio and 12 camera's. "Selling It Live" starts with an integral performance of "Selling The Aggression" and is followed by some of the bands and the publics favourites.

When you like your prog to be more beautiful and/or accessible than prog-proggy, than this is for you! Melodic as hell and yes, Peter Falconer is quite a singer! That wouldn't go half the way without the solid songs of Pat Sanders. A great combination of skills ;-) Carsten Pieper
The Long Island metal band's third album etches arena-sized hooks into their jagged compositions, deftly balancing experimental and poppy inclinations. Bandcamp Album of the Day May 12, 2022

As with previous releases this is a solid album from start to finish which continues the storyline, themes and signatures perfectly.
'Enigma' and 'Another Same' are on par with or superior to many commercial offerings by established prog artists.
The Waters, Wilson and Hayward influences shine through once more but I also hear song writing very much in the style of Difford and Tilbrook, 'Trough of War' & 'Another Same' probably being the best examples.
These chaps are the real deal!
